Who do you teach?

  • I teach students who want to increase their understanding of their voice and abilities, and who want to invest in themselves. My favorite part of voice teaching is seeing students make discoveries that aid them in reaching their goals.

  • I teach teenager and adult singers who are interested in growing their voice. I teach students under 14 years old on a case by case basis, please inquire for more information.

  • I teach singers who want to sing at a professional level, and singers who want to sing as a hobby.

  • I teach students who are interested in musical theater or classical music. While every genre has a place in the voice studio, these are the genres that I am most familiar with.

When and where do you teach?

I teach out of my home studio in Hamilton, NJ. I also offer online lessons from the comfort of your home! I prefer to teach in person or hybrid lessons with the opportunity for in person sessions and performances. I teach Tuesday-Saturday. Please get in touch for more information about location and scheduling.

What can I expect in a lesson?

Lessons are based around the interests and goals of the student. Lessons are usually an hour in length to ensure adequate time for both technical and artistic discovery. First, we warm up the voice and body. We might do some stretching, movement, and breath work based on how you are feeling. Next, I will tailor vocal exercises to your goals and needs for that particular session. Then, we dive into songs and apply the discoveries from our warmup. Throughout the course of the lesson both the warm-ups and the repertoire will be geared to focus on your goals as a singer. Most importantly, you can expect to learn in a nurturing, encouraging, and individualized environment full of experimentation and fun!

Online voice lessons are an excellent option for students who want to learn within the comfort of their own home and may not have time to come into the studio. Even before the Covid-19 pandemic made virtual lessons a necessity, they were becoming increasingly popular amongst singers. Online lessons work if you have internet access and either Facetime or Zoom. I have recorded piano tracks that you can play for your exercises and repertoire. Otherwise online lessons are just like in-person lessons!
